Missing You Poem by Louie Thompson

Missing You

I miss the way
you used to laugh and smile
and how your old baseballs caps
never went out of style

I miss the way
you used to hold me in your arms
and the way you said you fell,
instantly for my charms

I miss the nights
when we were together
and I miss how you told me
that you would love me forever

I miss the way
you would play with my hair
and then kiss me on my forehead
and say you'd always be there

I miss the sweetness
that you had in every touch
and I miss the way you'd forgive me
whenever I messed up

I miss the 'I love you's'
and the sweet goodbyes
I miss the way you would hold me
whenever I broke down and cried

But missing you
won't bring you back to me
so i'll have to accept
that this is how it's supposed to be
