You And I Tonight Poem by Geovanni Leaño

You And I Tonight

Rating: 5.0

I guess I am never the right one for you,
Yet I still am your dearest evergreen,
And now we are both facing something new,
There are still my shoulders you can always lean,

And now you and I tonight - laughing freely,
Now you and I tonight - with the sound of rain,
Now you and I tonight - mending our own pain,
And now you and I tonight - crying freely

Now we're both apart throughout this dreadful day,
Still our pilgrim hearts did not travel so far,
Still our damn pilgrim hearts got nothing to say,
They have cried when I played my soundless guitar,

Now those scars from my heart needs some serious aid,
Then little by little, I'll let you fade.
