you are like a onion,
for you always make me cry,
your are the protective clouds,
hiding me like they do the sky,
you are like valium,
forever bringing me down,
you are like a ringmaster,
and i the silly laughed at clown,
you are like a spider web,
trapping me, teasing me,
till me very soul is dead,
you are like the wind,
always pushing me back,
you are like a boxer always
on the attack,
you are like this because your
father was like this and his father too,
and i am scared because i am becoming like them too
Great depth and emotion in this poem. You hightlight very well the circle in homes and the fear of it continuing. Liz.
