You Are What I See Poem by Onke Iviwe Gwetshe

You Are What I See

When I look at you I don't see an Object
A toy a boy could use to play with
I see Gods master piece
The women I could share my dreams with
The women I would make the mother of my kids
All I see in you is a QUEEN
You don't notice that though
I bet you consider me just a friendly person
Someone who likes to joke a lot
I'm actually more than that
I joke just to see you smile
Friends; if it were up to me we could be more than that
Joker; I wish to be the person to always make you happy
Through all your hardships
I wish to be your lover
Your number one supporter, Your protector
Your best friend, your better half, your soulmate
Someone whom you can share your dreams with
Your biggest cheerleader into helping you achieve them
I wish to be all of this
But.............................
Your eyes say we are just friends
I doubt that you feel the same
You don't know how I'm dying inside to tell you how I feel

Dear God please forgive me for being a coward
But Rejections are all I fear
Bit a future with her is all I see
I wish she could also see that.
