You Can Come To My Funeral Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

You Can Come To My Funeral

You can come to my funeral, it's alright.
I got rid of my bitterness and pain.
There won't be grudges and no fight,
Just be thankful I'm not John McCain.

It's futile to be angry when I'm dead,
To replay past arguments is in vain.
You can cry or say a prayer instead -
And be thankful I'm not John McCain.

I think Cancer comes from all that anger.
The cells feed on it,consume the brain.
When I die I will be free from that forever
And thank God, I am not John McCain!

I can't take all that baggage to heaven.
Such darkness would only cause much pain.
You can come to my funeral, I have spoken-
Now let's pray for dear John McCain!
