You Did Me Wrong Poem by RoseMarie Mitchell

You Did Me Wrong

you did me wrong
cause you knew I wasn't strong
You took my heart and you took my money
But you never called me honey

You did me wrong
But I let it go on for too long

I believed all that you told me
Even though I knew your heart wasn't free
I did everything to please you
although I knew your love wasn't true

You did me wrong
But I let it go on for too long

I changed my hair to suit your taste
I wore no makeup on my face
I called your number but I got a busy tone
It's obvious you hung up your phone

I bought you gifts and slept in your bed
I listened to everything you said
I cleaned your house and washed your dishes
Even though you didn't care about my wishes

you did me wrong
I wished it didn't last that long
you broke my heart and caused me pain
It's time for goodbye cause you'll never see me again

You did me wrong
But guess what? I've grown strong!

Woah, this is amazing... One of the best I've read.
