You Don't Love Me Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

You Don't Love Me

You don't love me
maybe never did
I don't believe you
but you have fed
my heart with sweet nothings
someone much better
will find me someday
You're like a rose
and you'd stung me with thorns
that's now history
just another memory
You broke my heart
and didn't even care
why were you so cold?
As I shed tears
that just won't dry on there own
I didn't want to believe
You would do this to me
distance had us grow apart
usually that's how it start
Maybe you loved me
and it was cast adrift
you could've cared
before the sudden shift
