You Feel You Are The Perfect Person Poem by Francis Duggan

You Feel You Are The Perfect Person

You feel you are the perfect person for what seems right you've always stood
But who are you to judge who is evil and who are you to judge who is good
Your attitude does smack of arrogance for human frailties you do not allow
You look down on the poor struggling battler and yet to the monarch you bow
By your attitude you lack in compassion and in the great gift of empathy
For people who are doing it quite hard you do not show much sympathy
You seem to think it is their own fault that they struggle just to survive
You never say that you are lucky that to live you do not have to strive
You feel you are the perfect person but you are wrong in feeling this way
Judge not and others will not judge you a far wiser one than you did say
Going by what you say of some others you are not perfect with your words you do seem unkind
A far better person than you are would hardly be that hard to find
You are not a likeable person with your words you can be so cruel
And by passing judgement on others for your ego you create fuel.
