You look at her
with those now cold blue eyes
They're no longer full of love
but rather hatred
Hatred towards a little girl
Who was depressed and hurt
Who hurt you with the words
That to this day still smart and burn.
You look at her
with hatred in your eyes
Trust me she knows..
Shes the one you despise
She knows she can never fix this
It will never be right
She stays up crying
While planning to make it better at night
This little girl loves you
and knows shes done you wrong
She just wants to fix it
And then she'll move on
But if she doesn't fix it
before she says goodbye
Just know that she loves you
and she lied
she doesn't hate you
She needs you on her side.

Was it for her father I know not but the poet again burns in the pyre of self ignominy and the depiction was touching. Great write....

Hi Tiffany - This poem is a paradox of love and hate. The Little Girl who is the subject of this poem (autobiographical?) hs said something hurtful (V 2) ans omeone is hting her for it (V 1 & 3) . It is an impasse whih leads to crying and sleepless nights (V 4) . However the Lttle Girl wants foregiveness and wantss to move on (V 5) . In V 6 she is sorry and wants to fix it 'She doesn't hate you - she needs you by her side'. A well structured poem but with an inconclusive ending -maybe it need another verse ? . Love you in Poetry - JOHN. .
