You Have Become My Heart Poem by Barbara Vanier

You Have Become My Heart

You have become my heart
What man can live without the vessel which pumps his own blood
My body moans and aches to touch you
The very hairs on my arm reach up in hopes that you are there
We long to touch you
All the members of my body seek your audiance
My eyes wish to be blinded by the light from your heart
I would rather be blind and hold you everyday
Than to see you and have you always so far away
Come to me my darling one
Come to me that our hearts be one
Come to me in my arms open wide
Come to me and in my chambers we hide
