You make it hard for me to write a poem
Because words won't express you.
I sit up through the whole night
Trying to think of something to write
But no matter how hard I try
I can just never get the words right.
I guess it's good that the words are meaningless
Because that means every time you leave me speechless.
And if I am speechless that means you leave me breathless.
If I'm breathless that means my heart has stop beating,
And that's a good thing because I am still here,
Which means you have become the beat within my heart.
And that explains exactly why I choose to be with you.
But just to show you how much you really mean.
If I didn't have a choice then I would fight.
I would fight with all my might.
Through the very fires of hell to get you at my side.
I would block my ears with unseen hands when we say goodbye.
Because I know that being with you is no sin,
And I know that it's not any form of lie.
I now know that i no longer have to try,
Because you have already given me the sign.
You lift me up ever so high.
Above the sky you and I can finally fly.
And I think throughout the night.
I don't get any sleep while I think about the girl of my dreams.
I love the way you put cutie at the end of the line.
And I guess I now know that I'm head over hills.
I thought I would never be this way but here I am again.
Falling uncontrollably harder for you.
And I know my life finally feels something true.
I no longer sit feeling down and blue.
Because I have finally found the who.
And that who is you.
