Do some detox,
Clear your head,
Unlock all locks,
Feel free instead.
Sit a spell,
Relax a while,
You'll feel swell
If you'd only smile,
Or try to yawn.
It won't crack your face,
Desire to be reborn,
Find some space.
Put your feet up,
Take a break,
Lift a teacup,
Try some cake,
Have some time off,
Lounge around,
With some wine to quaff,
You'll sleep safe and sound.
Call a halt,
Calm the mind
You know your fault,
You just can't unwind!

Agree with Esther. Type A, but with a healthy dose of Hypertension, as well? Or unhealthy. Penned in short, precise words, as the words' meaning is. Thank God I'm not a Type A. Great work to be admired! ! ! xxElysabeth
I love this one too Ernestine, you are amazing---I look forward to another evening of Ernestine----Melvina
This poem makes me glad not to be a 'Type A' personality; willing to bet you aren't either, Ernestine! Great message for those who are and for those who need a good break from the hurly-burly of life. : ] Esther
Dear Ernestine Yes we rush around far too much. Have you ever heard the piece of choral music called deep peace by bill douglas I feel that you would really love it.
This is great Ernestine I like the way it starts out as if the subject has mental health problems and ends as just a subject who is uptight. Warm and humourous the pacing is spot on as if the narrator is at their last tether.

I would like to translate this poem
Ernestine. I like this. '...unlock all locks! ' Suggestion: ' You Know Your Fault(s) perhaps? Just a thought. LSP
