You make me want to write you a love song
make me want to hold you all night long
you take my dreams and right the wrong
and when I'm weak you make me strong
and stay in my heart the whole while along
deep in my soul where you belong

You make my troubles all disappear
you dry my eyes when you see a tear
you make me feel closer when I'm not near
you take the clouds and make it clear
I close my eyes and you're always here
through the shadows your voice I can hear

And when I need you here tonight
I know you're gonna make everything alright
I just reach for you and you hold me tight
through the emptiness of the night
you make the sun shine bright
