You Might Hear Poem by Dorsey Baker

You Might Hear

So much confusion
in the world today
people unable to say
what they really
mean to say
but if you stop listening
sooner or later
you might hear

the voices cannot reach you
because they are
so far away
naked trees
they stand
waiting for the rain
and roses blush
as they bloom in the sun
people are talking
but what have they said
and if you stop listening
sooner or later
you might hear

doctors can't find the medicine
to cure the common cold
the fountain of youth
or stop people from getting old
but if you stop listening
sooner or later
you might hear!
