You Need Them Poem by priscah Mutswenje

You Need Them

Who will notice your fame if not your admirers?
Who will justify your nature more than your competitors?
That envy and echo of deeds proves your are more than cactus

The prank that pries your poor soul
Ought to fertilize your futile fall
And lay a platform or podium for your real call

Dare them to tell your tales
If they can could the chimes the bells
Silence them not for that proves your presence

You learn to ignite the ingnite rightfully
You delight in engaging fuel correctly
You step on the break step by step accurately

You need these foes
You need the friends
You need rivals

Fear not that you make one
Worry not that you break one
Use their act, words and turns
