You Or Me Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

You Or Me

When Time loses its track of the pages
It might be you or me who’d go away
Rather, let’s be swallowed into space
In its magnificence, glory: let’s be lost
With your need for sleep still you thrive
To shelter the wounds that I inflict on me
Lying on the floor, trust me, I’ll be okay
Soon I’ll be able to choose you forever
Let’s sleep for now, slumber it is for us
Once you find me, I will hide you eternally
