You said that you really did care
You said that you wanted to share
You said that you’d be there for me
You said that you would help me see

You said that you’d open my eyes
You said that you’d tell me no lies
You said that I’d be blown away
You said that I should sit and pray

You said that I’d be shown the truth
You said that you’d give me my youth
You said that you’ll free me from pain
You said that I’d love life again

Well I don’t, and it’s you I blame
Needed you, but you never came
You’re not there for me, that I know
Doing this is all just for show

Ooh look at me, I’m doing good
All your worries are understood
In you I put my faith and trust
Promises made have turned to dust
