You Should Be Here Poem by Emma Jane Rae

You Should Be Here

my life is in tatters,
my world is in bits,
how do you expect me,
to deal with this s**t,
i think of you at work,
but even more so,
when im alone,
i keep on a brave face,
until i am alone,
then the tears come,
and the silent sobs,
wishing i could lunge out,
and smack you in the gob!
how could you do that,
and then lie to my face?
i said what i wanted to say,
now give me some space!
the things at home,
dont belong to you!
you know- you just dont have a clue!
you walked out of our lives,
so dont expect to come in and out!
whenever you choose,
you made your choice- win or loose!
do you not care how much pain you cause?
you were the one who closed the door,
i hope your happy with ya drug addict mate,
hope it was worth replacing,
love with hate,
you no longer have cuddles from me,
the things that you,
will never get to see,
like when i get married,
you should be there,
but you didnt think about that,
you didnt care!
or when i have children,
i'll need your advice,
but look how you treated me,
you wern't very nice,
how did we go from being so close,
to so far apart?
i hope this was worth while,
breaking my poor little heart!
