You Will Forget Me
I'm not quite sure
what it is about me
that makes me so forgettable.
People don't seem to understand,
how I can think this way.
Then they too forget me.
You can't understand
the way I think
and your attempts to save me
are for your peace of mind.
But you cannot save me
from myself.
You too will walk away.
You too will forget me
and only then
will you be able to understand.
