Your Eyes Poem by Claire Samuels

Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

I see a new-born heaven in your eyes.
A flaming bright yellow solar eclipse.
Yet while others may blind, you hypnotize,
And draw me slowly closer to your lips.
Eclipses show maybe once in a life,
While I stare into your eyes all the day.
Many miracles known may cause a strife,
Like a magnet, your eyes draw peace your way.
But why should joy come in seconds of time,
When your eyes spread a light in infinite?
And many a man in shadow of crime,
Stared into your eyes, falling innocent.
Never another will your eyes be found.
Your eyes in my eyes forever stay bound.
