They say the past will drift
They say the future is a gift
But if thats true
I don't want it without you
Cause nothings felt the same
Since the day you came
Since the first time I saw your smile
I can't remember the last time I guess its been a while
And without a smile you stop to glow
There's something you need to know

This maybe hard to understand
But even before I was your man
You held my heart in your hand
And even now that we're apart
In your hand you still hold my heart

In your hand you hold the key
To everything I could ever be
In your hand you hold my world
But yet again you were why it swirled
Its funny how the best part of me was you
And one day away the best part of me flew
Day by day the space between us grew
Heres a little something you never knew

This maybe hard to understand
