Your Lies Poem by Randy McClave

Your Lies

You can lie all that you want with a rant
You can lie to your uncle and to your aunt,
And you can lie to your mother and your father
Lying to them is probably not a bother.
You can lie to your brothers and to your sisters
And you can lie to all misses and misters,
You can lie to strangers and to your friends
While trying to make amends.
You can lie to your sons and to your daughters
You can tell them all how you walk on the waters,
And you can tell them how you're truthful and sincere
You can even lie with a smile or a tear.
You can lie to yourself as well
But, you know the truth if you're willing to tell,
Your lies can make anyone look evil and sinister
You can even lie to your minister.
You can lie to make anyone look sinful and bad
And your lies can be used to make a soul sad,
You can lie to make you look abused
And your lies can make you look misused.
You can lie with no thought or reasoning why
And you can lie everyday until the day you die,
You can lie to every situation and accord
But, in the end you cannot ever lie unto the Lord.
