How am I travelling down this road
When I’m still holding onto so much fear
My legs seem to be moving without me
I know that I’m no longer there

I’m not in a dark place anymore
Because the sun broke through the windows
Now I look up to the sky and smile
Somehow everyone now knows

Feeling free, in this big world around me
Spreading my new found wings
Just to feel the weight of them near my shoulders
And the strange joy that this brings

I’m walking down a different path to so long ago
No matter what people say, it feels great
Was it something that you did to me?
Because you’ve released me from my ankle weights

The dark house that used to confine me
Has been reduced to nothing but dust
Your light is now shinning down on me
Is this feeling love or lust?
