Your Name Poem by Diana van den Berg

Your Name

Today, the wind heralded your name
in sea breeze tenor jubilation,
and the bottom-most branch
of a next door palm tree
scripted it
over and over and over again
in teasing dance,
and little white clouds
scurried out of the way
as I emblazoned it
across the limitless sky
all the way
from me
to you.
