Your Presence Poem by Naveed Akram

Your Presence

Rating: 5.0

When tears fell from my eyes,
Your presence revealed itself before me.
When I was lost in thoughts of you,
You were there to speak and fashion me.
When I understood the relationship,
My heart created loans to the rivers.
When my emotions filled my hands,
My head shook and stunned the others.
When the authority of my tale was kept,
The story of the hundred years unfolded.

Where are the guiding stars in this wild
Night of exploration and devices of virtue?
No one else was caring about the acts,
When the meanings were lost and stolen.
My heart is a cherished organ of brightness,
Within it a ruinous soul lurks and loiters.
Run then to the other side of the river,
To catch the fish and revel in splendour.
