Your's Truely Poem by Cassandra Hooper

Your's Truely

When I smile
I hope youre watching from behind closed doors
And when you remember me
I hope you remember what you had when I was yours
But that canvas is faded and torn through
And all I feel is resentment and sorrow towards you
And I keep asking 'Well what am I supposed to do'
But its silent where there should be a voice I'm listening to
Your image fades more every day
And I know better, I should stay away
But I'm checking to see if you are too
And it's been so long but the pains still new
And so what if I'm reaching out for more
Who cares if I'm curled up on the bathroom floor
It's 2am and I'm knocking at your front door
But you answer through the oak 'I'm not the one you're looking for'
Oh Darling don't try to deceive me
I think I'd remember the one to leave me
The scars on my heart remember too
They remember it plainly, they remember you
And they tug and pull
Pulse in all directions
At the thought of your voice
Your protective affection
Your arms wrapped around my soul
My mind begging you to never let go
My being knowing it was too good to be true
And all of me knowing I'd never have you
