Your Turn Poem by Robert Longley

Your Turn

Rating: 5.0

Oh the times are changing
Where once a little girl
Would gather in my kitchen
And dance and spin and twirl

It seems like only yesterday
I’d sit you on my lap
Or come into your room
Just to see you nap

Now your world is bigger
A brighter place to be
You’re about to know the joy
That you once brought to me

So celebrate these moments
Each precious, bold and true
Discovering the wonder of a child
That I once saw in you
