You're Gone Poem by Panda Broussard

You're Gone

A pause in time, why, how can this be?
Frozen eyes on the frame of you with me.

You had to leave, but no goodbye was said.
Walking around in circles, in my head.

Repeating the scene, in my mind.
What caused this and better yet why?

My breath was stolen and you have no more,
No movement or laughter can be adored.

I can not move, stuck somewhere,
I feel the knife in me, but it's not there.

I can not move! Or even breathe!
My heart and soul are in your coffin, you see!

I'm just a vessel, empty and plain.
Once, you filled me and healed my pain.

Now where and how can I move,
God please help me, I wanna go too.
