Samuel Chung Poems

Like stray dogs we come and go,
never really on your mind
yet only when one that looks good,
acts special
...

Surely man should know of their own feelings
Surely man should understand their emotions
Yet how does man distinguish from being fond of, or liking?
...

So, Now you may see
what you truly meant to me.
Though I may not be able to be with you,
I do not really care.
...

O I just don't know,
after telling you,
would it have been better,
better not to have raise the subject?
...

Softly and gently dust falls down around you,
Illuminated by the harsh stage lights,
The bright dusk glitter like specks of gold.
...

O how can you be so cruel?
you wrought me like this,
and used it as a tool.
...

As we part,
I feel a hole in my heart.
As you waved
I felt like I was saved.
...

You were the one,
you knew me inside out.
each flaw, each weakness
and you used them for fun.
...

You come up behind me
like insomnia.
I need to hear your voice,
that voice.
...

The world will finally see,
what you meant to me.
the final scene
the bridge is crossed,
...

Forever will I reach out,
reach out for you.
To hear that bell ring,
ring-a-ling-a-ling.
...

Like Strays

Like stray dogs we come and go,
never really on your mind
yet only when one that looks good,
acts special
do you notice. and you care only for that one.

Its like seeing a meal for us strays,
and you hold the food,
any of us that come, and seem
beast - like as we are,
or with any sickness,
you refuse to even care about.

never really caring
even though we starve,
you never really will understand.
you hold the power,
you can attract us with whatever you can throw,
yet with that, you can spring a trap.
that is the power you wield.
