Drifting Along Poem by Sandra Feldman

Drifting Along

Rating: 5.0

I've seen a sunset
That's as pure as
Liquid gold,
I've sailed the oceans,
To project a life
So empty,
Artic circles
Were less cold,
I've climbed
Bare mountains,
Thinking I would
Easily find,
Rarefied air
That makes all love,
Seem kind,
Yet all I found
Was thinning oxygen
That made it difficult
To breath,
And get of Life
That thrilling hold
That only, Love
Can give,
Not being forced
Or even told.

The love of God is everywhere. It uplifts us when everything seems so empty. Magnificent poem, dear Ma’am Sandra....10++

An excellent write that goes straight to the heart. Poignant and touching. We can feel the emptiness and disappointment with its superb imagery. Liked the closure lines. Very original words from a great weaver of love. On to my Poem List.
