Enid Poem by Jennifer Birchall

Enid

Rating: 5.0

Books as a child I remember the most
The Magic Faraway tree by Enid Blyton
Each night whilst it had gone dark
I went on a new adventure
Into the forest I would go
I'd pack my jam sandwich and flask of tea
Along the way I'd meet my friends
Climbing up to the top of the tree
Wondering what lay ahead for me
The thrill, excitement of a journey
The innocence of believing
I would read and read again, a new story every time
The pages of the book never grew old

I loved all Enid Blyton books. Brilliant memories and exciting adventures. Recently I listened to The Magic Faraway tree audio book...your poem brought my memories alive as much as hearing that; and your imagination is as fantastical as the land at the top of the tree! Please continue with your poetry, and thank you moonface x
