In The Arms Of Love Poem by Scott Stanley Davis

In The Arms Of Love

There abides nothing so sweeter, that can never be measured in a meter, than a love that sweeps you off your feet, and floats you above the streets, A love among a man and a woman, when both have gone through a few years of blood, and from sweat and from tears? from a life time of toil, of things that may have spoiled it and given wings, that it may have never, ever been seen; But there it is, a love that sweeps you off your feet, and floats you above the streets, and sends you into the clouds, where there is no storms no rain and nothing else to gain, but its kindness, sweetness and gentleness and rest; To lay in its arms to feel so soft and warm, to be so comforted is much more, than a million dollars from a Harvard scholar; it can come from someone with a dimple or a pimple or even can come from rip van winkle, Arms of love is much more than I am saying or conveying, and it will free you from fear and keep you near in its warmth and in its strength, it is much more than a hug when your held in the arms of love.
