Intoxicated Poem by asma bahrainwala

Intoxicated

Rating: 4.4

The bright blue scarf of the clear sky,
The dazzling gold of the yellow sun,
The cold, tickling drops of sweat (on my hot brow)
Intoxicate me.

The gloomy blanket of the dark clouds,
The soft velvet of the cool breeze,
The sweet perfume of the soaked earth
Intoxicate me.

The chilly embrace of the cold wind,
The dense curtain of the morning fog,
The rich smell of the hot chocolate drink
Intoxicate me.

Nature
Intoxicates me.

A feeling of communion
Between the Heaven above
And the Earth below.

The (Re) Assurance that
GOD
Is watching over us all.

Shows a real feeling for and identification with nature and the universe. Very pantheist in sentiment
