I cheat my hunger and desire,
With opium exceedingly strong,
Trust me, I'm no liar!
It's tested by years, so long.
Day starts with fleeting dreams
And passes with growing regret,
A state where hope never gleams,
I find myself in, by hostile fate.
Then comes the opium in act,
Rescuing me from a deathly hollow,
And I forge unconditional pact
Of submission silent and slow.
Obscure hymns I recite,
In the name of man made deity,
For the reason unknown I fight,
And slay with no hint of pity.
Sin turns into holy deed
Once conscience is killed,
My soul I surrender in need
Of deepest wounds to be healed.
I know not if you heal or sedate,
But you take away my pain,
So, I let you control my fate,
Though unsure if I lose or gain.
