Stay Beside Me
Come, listen to the sound
of the chirping crickets,
of the night bird,
and other insects.
Come, we sit
on the fallen tree,
reclined on the earth,
then we watch the stars above.
Come, place your head
on my shoulder,
and your long hair,
the fragrance I smell.
Come, feel my warmth
and I feel your warmth,
in the cold night,
I hug you tight.
