Sunrise, Sunset Poem by Noel Tupan

Sunrise, Sunset

Here comes the sun, shining so bright,
smiling after the storm had passed,
a sign of hope for those who fall.
Rise up! That’s what it tells us all.

But there are times that people fear,
seeing the sun kissing the sea,
for it’s a sign of rending time,
and a journey to unknown clime.

As the glaring sun hides from day,
and night time comes to greet us all.
To some it’s a sign of sorrow,
unsure of what comes tomorrow.

The light from the East gives us hope,
and in the West the colors fade.
Whatever may the signs are meant,
it’s nothing but a simple myth.

There are times that we may be on top,
and think that life is always up,
but forget not that life changes,
the sun won’t shine on us always.

Sunrise, sunset is part of life,
a cycle we all have to pass,
comes to life and shines gradually,
then fade…and comes our dying day.
