Welcome To The Club Poem by Julia Luber

Welcome To The Club

God prepared you for it and told you what it would be beforehand.
You did not want to face that this is what had become of your favorite place
in the world. You could not accept that it was God's warning to explain to
you that your favorite place had been invaded and occupied by several
enemies. Aggressive enemies who invade your station while they have
their own and could have been there without you seeing them. But they
get intense pleasure out of the excruciation that they cause you. They
experience the agony they cause you as purely a source of power to themselves.
Yes, they are addicted to it. They experience your torment as only more space
for themselves. More intoxicating hypnosis of their power, be it evil or good, for
themselves. It is VERY HARD for you to believe they could ruin your favorite place.
They could be anywhere in the world. But they choose to invade your space.
Yes, it is frightening. No, you don't know what to do. You honestly do not know what
to do and you are very very scared due to. VERY. You can not imagine God could be
so cruel. You don't understand. You no longer believe in God
because of them. Welcome to the club.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
How an arch enemy has chosen to invade my sanctuary escape location; it being the only place that I can go while she can go anywhere in the world and I have been there for over 25 years. I can't believe that s/he could ruin a place I love so much and I am frightened.
