Wildflowers Poem by Marilyn Lott

Wildflowers

Rating: 3.2

Don’t you just love wildflowers?
They decorate the landscape so
You see them in all different colors
They are everywhere you go

But they don’t just ‘crop up’
For there is a definite plan
To grow seeds in which to scatter
All across our beautiful land

Can you imagine if we didn’t have
These blooms that adorn
The country in which we live
Well, it would really look forlorn

It’s something we can depend on
When springtime comes around
We expect it as a matter of fact
To decorate our dreary ground

Wild seed farms make it happen
They grow them purposefully
Sell them in the stores for us
For everyone to enjoy

So this spring when you notice
Little colorful flower heads
Be thankful folks are willing
To plant wild seed flower beds!
