They were neither gold nor jewels aplenty.

and your blanket on my bed,
reminders that you're at home
and I'm sitting here alone again.

What is love but the brutality of truth
and everything that's deep in you,
functioning, forgetting, realizing?
You strive to be better

Simple little things that you do
and who you are, have pushed forth
the beauty in me.
Everything I love and care

The light that catches in his eyes
the flourishing life and killer beauty
rips me up at the seams
God, the way the corners
...

Love, the adventure
that takes you to a different plane.
It is the star
among the dark.
