Indescribable Poem by Stephanie Spray

Indescribable

It's the same line we've heard over before
'I love you' are the words that cut deep to the core,
they mean the world, but are seldom heard
enough to engrave themselves more than a score.
The ice in his voice and the burn in his touch
Leaves you shaking more than enough
to turn skin into stone, crumbling to bone,
you shake till you shatter and turn into dust.
Some days you hope you can cry until you sing
where something so ugly turns into this beautiful thing,
but you know there's no hope, and silently you choke
back the tears that make ultimately will make you free.
