Emerging from a forest of tall branching trees

As a child holds their new soft hugable
They choose a name for the adoptable
It is made of stitched fabric and filling
A name makes it special… not just a thing

As each budding leaf begins to swell
Winter's chill bows and bids farewell
Royal crocus colors and daffodil yellow
Stand tall as reviving juices begin to flow

If you knew your days were numbered
Would you spend hours in slumber?
Would you strengthen your commitment
Or waste valuable time in resentment?

Beneath the flickering darts of warming sun
Dancers sway with an amore that blushes
Mesmerized by song… blending into one
With the gentle strokes of harmonizing brushes
...

The day is dismal and gray as slate
There are no indications of a rebate
After spending all you’ve got to give
There are no second chances to relive
...

Missing from the table are familiar faces
Family characteristics renew their traces
Youthful laughter has a recognizable ring
Silent flashbacks stir carefree reminiscing

As a fragile rose blooms it declares elation...
putting aside any fears that loom overhead
The prophecy of winds and pelting rain
dissipate when soft whisperings are said

The thought of the love we shared
sends me backwards in time
Remembering when you cared…
the thought makes my temperature climb

Taste the excitement and tumble
Live in the shadows and mumble
Change your name and become
another desirable woman lying prone
