The dark shadow beckons
It calls insidiously from the corners
Whispering little temptations
Drawing me deeper into the tunnel

~*Twilight*~

Never believed
you could feel lonesome
...

For the times you've been my silent guardian
and stood by me with unceasing vigilance

For the times you've believed in me
...

Feel like I'm flying
My spirit soars above the clouds
Feel like I'm floating
yet my feet never left the ground
...

A silent whisper sighs with the fading of Apollo's rays
as the gentle waves lap unceasingly on the pearly shores.
My eyes seem to be drawn heavenwards
magnetised by the enchantment filtering from the starry sky
...

The beating of the Mrdanga drums
meets the rhythm that dances in my heart.

The crash of the white-crested waves
...

A gentle zephyr escapes from its tempest brethren
gleefully crumbling down what's left of the wasteland.
But this little brother has a higher purpose
and not once did it look back upon the disaster
...

8.

You cried, I wiped away all your tears
Wrapped my arms around you
Laid your head upon my shoulders
And wept with you
...

Bloodshot eyes frantically scans the devastated land
Tears flow freely, bidden by the fumes that stung
My shallow breaths catches in my parched throat
As I breathe in the sulfurous air that burns my lungs
...

Staring up into the dark and dreary sky
Nary a single star I find in sight.
All that's left around me are the insidious shadows that loom
And I smell the scent of fear of my own impending doom.
...

My eyes unconsciously flickers once again
And I stare at the ominously unlit screen
No words can express my hurt, my pain
And my shattered little world crumbles unseen
...

You’d think you know the rules of the game well enough
After being a master player for years on end
You’d think you pretty much covered all the grounds
But then you haven’t met the one who invented the game
...

With ceaseless zeal,
The gusty winds rudely rustle the leaves awake
With ungentle shakes,
It renders the solitary tree shivering in the cold
...

Soulful sorrows abound
white tulips fade away
still shadows creep anon
leadeth the naive astray

Inner Demons

The dark shadow beckons
It calls insidiously from the corners
Whispering little temptations
Drawing me deeper into the tunnel
So deep that the shadow that once lurks behind me
starts to climb up around me,
over my shoulders
till it turns to face me
and overwhelms me.

I scream a wordless terror
But my voice fails
What's the point?
No one can hear me now
I'm in too deep
No one can get me out
The darkness does not let it's prey go easily
Once ensnared I'm theirs
To corrupt, to ravish, to destroy.

So I fall,
collapsing in a heap
in the grimiest corner
the world could possibly have seen
In tears I wrap my arms around my knees
and gently rock my broken heart to sleep
Crying out for what I've lost
Mourning for the hope that dims
with each passing day the pieces shatter
the edges pierce deeper
my blood seeps away
Slowly,
I fade...
Without a word,
Without a goodbye...
No one remembers
No one cares
No one cries...
