Dropping My Mask Poem by Chelsea Palma

Dropping My Mask

Rating: 4.3

Little by little I dropped my mask
Hoping and praying someone would do the task
As the days go by
No one passes through as time shall fly

I worry for the journey ahead
Because without those I love, I'd be hanging by a thread
I couldn't possibly withstand it
The pain I'd be put through so I split

The best of me most don't see
It's like climbing a tree
The further you go the more you see
The higher you are the better you'll know me

It's true that the closer we get to someone, the better we can get to know them. I like the way you expressed it here: The best of me most don't see It's like climbing a tree The further you go the more you see The higher you are the better you'll know me Well written, Chelsea!
