diana rose tolentino Poems

In the prairie down the hill,
I can see the grass so green.
With cascaded flowers everywhere,
And their fragrances fill the air.
...

The heat is rising,
So is the boredom.
Head-breaking noises
Cutting through my brain.
...

I thought I could believe
That everything would be alright.
I thought it would be enough
To trust someone just like that.
...

I never dream of being with someone
Someone who will love and care for me
I never dream of being with you
So why, now it seems that I can’t let go
...

In the midst of the night, while the whole Earth sleeps.
The heart of this girl still weeps in its wake.
The sound of the sobs, cutting through the silence of the night.
The sound of despair will stop only with the light.
...

The breeze that blows is the winter wind,
Freezing blood throughout my veins.
Instead of the warmth of your embrace,
I felt the shiver from your cold gaze.
...

My heart breaks everytime I catch your gaze
Those searing eyes full of indifference
I shed unseen tears for I can't make you see
How much it hurts when you look at me.
...

Time do not stand still
Nor it waits for just anyone.
It moves on its own free will.
It is up to us what will be done.
...

I do not know what will happen now
I have one foot at the threshold, moving out
Another foot on the inside where I'm safe
My mind is on the future, my heart is at stake
...

The first time I saw you
I know you are a friend
So I tried to treat you
As nice as I can
...

Through the distance I thought I’d heal
Looking at the horizon surrounded by seas
Water and skies, endless boundaries
I kept on staring as far as I can see.
...

God grant me a moment that changed my life
Along with yours when victory came at last
I never gave you up, now I get what I want
A picture of you and I together came to life
...

Artemis will hunt you down
Bow and Arrows in her hands
Beware and be warned
Her Temper is known through out the land
...

watching the sun setting down again
Another day passed waiting in vain
With hope that tomorrow would be the day
That you will finally find your way.
...

I hate the rain, the pain it brings
Just like the tears, the droplet stings.
The dark heaven pouring spears
Please stop, I hope and pray
...

Wake up dear friend, raise your head.
Sunrays are creeping unto the window sill.
...

I know you, I dreamt of you.
You walk in the stillness of the night,
Casting shadows along your path.
You stare with your fierce black eyes
...

What if..
There are times when I think
about the things that might have been different
if I happen to be someone else.
...

I‘ve lost.
I raced so hard and got the award.
I searched the crowd but he is not around.
They threw flowers with no regard.

diana rose tolentino Biography

It has been years since I started writing poems. I honestly think that I am losing my touch, or running out of inspiration. My poems are the result of my love for literature. I love submerging myself with stories that I read and the emotions from those stories give birth to most of my poems. I starting over; in my studies, career, in relationships, in my life. I hope that this new wave of passions can help me reunite with my first love, writing. I am thinking of looking at the different side of things this time around. I will try to participate in life than watch it happen in the background. Maybe someday I will be able to write about myself and bring smile to our readers. Someday I will be a writer who live; not for the sake of living but with a purpose to fulfill. Please take time to read my works and be beside me as I seek ways to improve myself. God Bless us all fellow writers. May He guide our pen to give glory to His name.)

Fantasy

In the prairie down the hill,
I can see the grass so green.
With cascaded flowers everywhere,
And their fragrances fill the air.

As I walk as gentle as the breeze,
Try not to harm life beneath my feet,
Daisies, sweet peas and daffodils,
And crown of laurels in my head.

I felt the wind gently blew my hair,
While dandelions dance in gay.
A big smile painted colors in my face,
As I watch them with such grace.

The feeling just took my breath away,
Surely a place beyond compare.
An honor to be on this blessed soil,
The refuge for any weary soul.

I heard the birds singing just as sweet.
Their hymns lull me back to sleep.
Serene and peace I wont forget,
As I laid my head to rest.
