My heart breaks everytime I catch your gaze
Those searing eyes full of indifference
I shed unseen tears for I can't make you see
How much it hurts when you look at me.

I want to hold you yet I pushed you away
I couldn't even take away your pain
One I severely inflicted intentionally
So you won't see how much you mean to me.

My only solace are the memories we shared
When no one question holding each other's hands
The times when embraces give us butterflies
And kisses makes us giddy and satisfied

I remember the promises that we both said
While looking at the moon shining overhead
My head on you shoulder, your lips on my hair
How we will be together like this everyday

I miss you even when you are by my side
Even when I can always reach for your hand
For I know that even though I can hold you near
I can never reach for your heart again
