اني أجِيئُكِ يا بغدادُ .. يا بَغدادْ
خالعاً عن جسدي عُروبة الأقوالِ
إن عُروبة الأفعالِ
دائماً .. بغدادُ
إني أجيئُكِ
واهباً ما كانَ
أو سيكونُ
كَيْمَا ــ دائماً ــ
تَبقينَ سِت الكونِ والامجادْ
فَيّا بغدادُ .. يا بغدادُ .. يا بغدادْ
ظّلي لنَا
عاصمة الصمودِ
بَل كُوني لنَا
مَيسرة الأبطالِ
أو مَيْمنَة الجِهاد
إنَّ الذينَ يَخطبُونَ
رأس بغدادَ
عَليهُمُو ــ من قبلُ ــ
ان يُنَكِسُّوا اعلامَهُم
ويُعلِنُوا الحِدادْ
لأنَّ بغدادَ لنا باقيةٌ
لأن بغدادَ بنا باقيةٌ
لأنها عَصِيةٌ
لأنها وصية الأجدادِ .. للأحفاد
