030910 Forever For Me Poem by Manonton Dalan

i'm sitting on a bollard
waiting for a ferry ride
when a lady approach
to ask me what time
i look at the sun, guess
ten minutes at least

sure enough ferry came
fully loaded as has been
that i have to stand up
to give away my seat
to the lady next to me
with smile i said 'okay'

an hour trip on hot day
is like forever to me
she offered seat back
and we end squeezing
like siamese twins
it's nice it didn't rain
