i'm watching leaking faucet
hearing tiktok on ground pool
coming to rhythm of a song
teasing beaks from a palm
to soak their feathers to shine
yellow butterfly open her wings
to a hover scanning for landings
as grass lizard spit her tongue
surveying, searching for lunch
cockles heard not very far
as chicks run to their moms
for comfort and few crams
i heard sound of approaching tires
dust flies, water splash and baby cry
