031810c At Least Nice And Pretty

i pick up a newspaper to see
how many lives were spared
how much money were save
did gas price went down a penny
did something good happened
none of the above that's sad

crooks surface for some more
robbers audaciously did the job
broke the roof and carted loot
a captain pocketed salt shaker
especially design for occasion
i would escape lunch to buy him

enormous car recalls very scary
driving, behind is one of many
how could you blame it on a rug
spring fashion, very nice, pretty
at least i could dream of buying
pricy for me, peanuts for them
