water seeping from broken pipe
birds came to hunt, feast on worms
wiggling out of their mushy peat
to unforgiving waiting sharp beaks
then spray burst so fierce blinding
mud started to flow, drowning the rest
spray is like a fun taller than a cherry
forming a rainbow beautiful to see
fire trucks came for rescue; looking
scrambling to fine cut-off valves
hidden underground; flooded too
break out the pump; too much shouting
